MASTERCLASS PRO | DIAGONAL KICK TO INSIDE LEG • KICK TO THE GROIN • KICK TO THE INSIDE OF THE KNEE

Updated: Jul 22, 2021

MASTERCLASS PRO is a new feature which gives you a brief insight into highly effective and natural striking combinations used in Krav Maga self defence.

Scenario: Attacking an aggressor with a combination of low kicks to devastatingly cease their ability to fight or pursue you, by a diagonal kick to the inside leg (to open legs further and spread the opponent’s base to limit movement), immediately following up with a kick to the groin to deliver excessive pain and finally stepping away with a kick to the inside knee (to break it and prevent any pursuit).

The combination can easily be preceded by an hand strike attack to the face, either real or feigned (half-thrown), to distract from the combination being initiated.

DIAGONAL KICK TO INSIDE LEG

  • With the base leg toes moved inti the kicking direction, kick with a locked-leg frame with the shin against the inner thigh (c. 5-10cm above knee) to move the opponent’s leg back and sideways. Dig the shin in on impact for extra pain.

KICK TO THE GROIN

  • On connection, bring the kicking leg back in line with the base leg and repeat the same type of kick, just this time straight forward towards the groin as you aim to slice the opponent in half from below, connecting with the lower to mid part of your shin (not the ball of the foot or the instep).

  • Land back in line with the base leg.

KICK TO THE INSIDE OF THE KNEE

  • Step sideways out with the groin-kick leg with the heel pointing towards the inside of the opponent’s knee.

  • Lift the other foot up to knee-height and strike with the sole of the foot parallel to the floor on the inside of the knee. Extend the leg fully and recoil fast.
